Heim
Ins Reich Heim Ins Reich retraces a key period in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg’s history, that of World War II. Nazi Germany occupied the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from 1940 to 1944. Paradoxically, the attempt to include Luxembourg in the Third Reich triggered an awareness of Luxembourg’s national identity. This film tells how this small state found a raison d’être that no one today contests any more. We shall reveal the little-known history of a people that is totally unknown abroad, the history of the failed attempt to incorporate the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg into the Third Reich.
